Digital Diary Project
The Border TV Region is the first to switch over to digital, so the Scottish Consumer Council has begun a project in the Scottish Borders that will give local residents a voice in the switchover process.
There are considerable benefits from switching to digital but also a lot of issues that need to be dealt with, not least the range of technical options and the potential risks of unnecessary spending.
We want to hear about real experiences at this time of change (good and bad!) Our local co-ordinator, Heather Batsch, is putting together a survey group of around 500 people from across the Scottish Borders. Their views will be analysed to identify common issues, which the Scottish Consumer Council will take up with Digital UK and others to make any changes required.
We are making it as easy as possible to take part, group members can opt to respond (free of charge) by telephone or by post, or over the web. Please get in touch with Heather if you would like to take part, or to find out more.
If any local voluntary or community groups would like Heather to come and talk to them about the project, just give her a call. We’re keen to spread the word,
You can contact Heather Batsch on 0800 707 6765 or by email at hbatsch@scotconsumer.org.uk
