"Block court fees rise " call to Justice Committee

Scotland's foremost consumer watchdog is appealing to a Scottish Parliament Committee to block moves which it believes may price some people out of the civil courts system. The Scottish Consumer Council (SCC) says there are already enough barriers to Scottish people using the civil courts without imposing the proposed increases in fees which may, in some cases, make some people question whether it's worth going to court.
