Workplan
What will we do in 2008?
Our workplan has a clear focus on the needs on disadvantaged consumers. It combines a challenging research agenda in new areas with the production of a range of policy reports building on existing evidence.
This is complemented by our development projects and our network of volunteers which offer practical benefits to consumers at grass roots level and ensure that, in turn, their experiences form a key part of our policy thinking.
Our Workplan for the period April - September 2008 is set within the context of plans for the Scottish, National and Welsh Consumer Councils to merge, on 1 October 2008, with energywatch and Postwatch to create a new single, statutory consumer advocacy body, to be known in Scotland as the Scottish Consumer Council. We will remain focused on delivering this Workplan throughout the period of transition and maintaining continuity of business on behalf of consumers in Scotland. However, it is likely that transition to a new organisation will impact on management time and resources and this Workplan may be subject to amendment in the light of this.
