SCC meetings and confidentiality

Certain agenda items will be discussed in private where they deal with research carried out in confidence, personnel matters, matters of commercial confidentiality or matters which would result in an unwarranted invasion of privacy.

The Chairman and Director will decide which, if any, items are to be treated as confidential before the agenda is circulated. Where there is the possibility of the press and public being excluded during discussion of an item or part of an item this will be indicated on the agenda.

The media are asked to treat Council papers and discussions as embargoed until the publication date of the final report.
